Problem of installing WDK RTM build 6000 16386

Hello all:

I tried to install WDK RTM build 6000 16386 on Vista Ultimate 6.0.6000. But the installation abnormally ended when it was performing ‘Validate installation…’. The error message was: ‘Microsoft Windows Driver Kit 6000 setup ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified.’

Does any have the same problem?

Haven’t tried it on vista but the install worked correctly on w2k3sp1
and wxpsp2. I’ll be installing on vista over the holiday break (us
independent consultants don’t actually get vacations) so if I remember
I’ll confirm your results then.

It also succeeded on my XPSP2. Just failed on Vista.
