Problem in loading NDIS IM driver on Windows 98

Hi all ,

I have developed a NDIS IM driver for windows 2k , now i have to
port it to windows 98 platform .
According to documentation , it is binary compatible with Win98.
So i compiled it with BINARY_COMPATIBLE flag on win2k ddk and
tried to install it on windows 98 machine .
I am using the inf file which was earlier posted on this mailing
list for installing passthru driver on windows 98 . It is
successful in creating the entries in the registry but not
installing the driver .
I think i am missing out something …
What else i should do while porting my driver ???

Thanx in advance
Aakansha

I know this isn’t exactly an answer to your question, but it is a data
point. I was once responsible for doing a binary-compatible IM driver
between 2K and 98. After discussions with the fine folks at MS and an
evaluation of the snags involved, I went the NDIS hook route on 9x.

Thanks for the suggestion
