Pnp hardware should not get detected in win2k even the first time after installing

Hello all,

How to make windows 2000 / win 98 not to detect a plug and play hardware
even for the first time…

ie, on boot up after installing a pci card, I need to OS not to detect the
hardware and display “found new hardware”…

what change should I need to make in the settings in the registry…??

Install a NULL-inf. This will not suppress the detection, but it will
install silently.
