PNP device silence installation

Hi Friends,

Apparently the new PCI PNP device will be installed to
the system only after the user log on to the system.
You will see the 'find new hardware" baloon after log
in and Windows configure and install the device.

I remember there is a way to avoid this by setting
some
flag in the installation inf file so that the Windows
will install the device automatically when it starts
and does not require user to log on.
But I could not find it in the DDK and MSDN document
now. Anybody got any idea? Thanks a lot!

Regards,
William

IIRC if no UI is necessary during the device install - then it will be
installed even without any user logged on.

But, if the installation process wants to show UI (this includes the
warning box about the unsigned driver) - then the admin user logged on is
necessary to continue the installation.
