I am tracking down a problem with my TDI client and
checksum offload.
If I monitor the ‘output queue length’ for a network
card via perfmon, I see it periodically increase, sometimes
up to 63. Right after that, there are a corresponding number
of 'Packets Outbound Errors". What I find interesting is
that all the documentation I can find says the ‘output
queue length’ will “always be zero in this implementation”.
So much for documentation.
My question: what causes the output queue length to
increase? What should I be looking at in my TDI client?
Any hints would be sincerely appreciated.
