PDP, RSX11, RT11 was IDE Visual Studio 2005

You probably could get some good money for the PDP-11 parts, I know
that they were hot items a few years ago. I bet there are still some
factories running on PDP-11/RSX/RT, maybe even running some of my
code… That’s were my driver career started, writing assembly for a
UNIBUS I/O card. I never used TECO though, too ‘retro’ for me at the
time! :)))

Did you know that there’s a “port” of Teco that’s written in Python?
I only wish I were kidding.

And, for the record: I STILL have a PDP-11 in my basement, with
RSX-11M on a pair of RL02s

(notice, I didn’t say I had it RUNNING… but it IS in my basement)

In Russia - maybe.

In 80ies, the PDP/LSI-11 clones were the most popular computers in the
communistic countries - produced by USSR and several Eastern European countries
(DDR’s Robotron and Hungary’s Videoton were the names, also there was Polish
“Mera”).

The larger ones were sized like a large wardrobe and were running RSX-11M
multi-terminal. The smaller were desktop LSI-11 clones (with proprietary
graphics adapter not cloned from DEC) and were running RT-11.

No copyrights at all  it was Cold War.

For those of us not generationally eligable, is RSX one of the OS’s that
Dave Cutler developed at Digital before going to Microsoft to work on
NT?

Yes, VAX/VMS too.

RSX is early 70ies, VMS is late 70ies.
