OSR Connectivity Problems

If you’ve experienced connectivity problems to the list server or our
domains:

OSR is in the process of switching from one ISP to the other. As a result,
we’re publishing BOTH sets of IP addresses for our domain. There are also
times that we may asymmetrically route requests (that is, you contact us on
38.220.243.x, we send you back a response via 208.13.232.x).

This is also affecting people who try to connect via the Newsreader to
lists.osr.com, and various other things.

If you have trouble accessing ANY of our servers, try accessing via one
specific IP address (nslookup will give you the host address).

We apologize for the connectivity problems. Please bear with us. We are
aware that our connectivity has been less than optimal since our original
ISP (PSInet) declared backrupcy. That’s why we’re changing ISPs. This
switch will be completed within the month. When it’s complete, we’ll have
the better throughput, lower latency, and even physical diversity with
fail-over for our connections to the internet.
