And posture …
and age … my knees hurt, but then 58 year old knees just naturally hurt after they have played football and jumped out of airplanes when the owner was young and stupid (though freefall is a blast)

I think the only solution is EXERCISE, that pushes those parts of the body a bit by bit !.

Long time back, I landed on a bad position while playing beach vollybal. Since then I have a back problem like earthquake noone knows when and how it could get back and surprises me. I was given an orthopedic chair, very nice, followed the posture, keeping the mouse and keyborad on right level etc. But nothing helped, so desperately tried to do yoga ( a lazy person’s way to exercise, and not the heavy duty yoga ), and it completely gone away. Of course I pretty much took the habit of sleeping on the floor, since most of the mattresses are overhyped for farmness, comfort etc.

There are particular yoga exercise for repariing knee problem gradually. I do have that bonous too, but those are very helpful if followed regularly. And a hyperwalk on traidmill, but not run is another. When I’m deeply demotivated for weeks and dont follow these, I could hear my knee makes noise an indication of robotic movement, so I hurriedly try to get back to it.

I would recommend, and if and only if time permits, to do some yoga to get thing smooth out. It can repair these problems within 3 to 6 months, I know for sure. Then switch over to hyperwalk ( including high slanting, almost like hiking on hill), or swiming would take this out. BUT FOR SURE DONT PLEASE RUN, that would make it worse.

Also very recently I heard that James Gosling ( name might not be right ) one of the inventor of Java language had to be very cautious when he was advised to stay out of keyboard for quite sometime.

All of the previous advice is sound. In addition here is a simple exercise I
was taught with my last lower back disk problem.

Stand in front of a wall with one foot in front of the other, put each hand
on the wall centered in front of you face one over the other.

Move your hip/lower back forward towards the wall in kind of a stretching
action. Then move your hip/lower back away from the wall again in a
stretching action.

Do this two or three times and then SWITCH feet positions and SWITCH hand
positions.

Do this for about a minute or two multiple times a day.

I was told by the Dr. it is much better to do 20 times a day for one minute
rather then once for 20 minutes.

Ken
