Hello all,
I am developing Win2K drivers for a dual-mode USB camera which includes still camera(DSC) mode and PC camera mode. Till now everything works fine in most mother boards except a SONY notebook using Intel 440MX chipset. when I run AmCap.EXE to aquire PC camera video image, the OS said to me that there is not any USB bandwith, i.e., it failed in the USBCAMD_SelectAlternateInterface() with specifying any alternate-interface number. In the ControlPannel->System->USB HostController->Bandwidth, I find the bandwith is used ONLY 13%, there is 87% FREE. The device has several alternate interfaces for different bandwidth from 0 to 960 bytes per USB frame.
I get the same result in some pc-cameras made by other companies. There is not any isochronous transfer based device can be run on this notenook. Is there anyone suffered this before, and can tell me about this phemonemon or where can I download some patch files or how can I solve this problem? Any suggestion is preferred. Thanks.
BGS,
C. C.
