New NTFSD List Access Features

NTFSD Members,

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope this is an interesting and
profitable year for the system software field.

I wanted to call your attention to a couple of new features for
accessing OSR’s NTDEV and NTFSD Lists:

  1. New Web-Based Forum Interface
You can now access the lists using the typical web-based forum type
interface that has become pretty standard on the internet. You can sort
replies, and view posts by date for various periods.

NOTE WELL: We are bringing this interface on-line slowly. Thus, we have
TEMPORARILY disabled posting to the lists from the Forum interface.
However, within the month, you will be able to read the lists, start new
threads, and reply to existing threads via the Forum interface.

  1. RSS Support
Questions posted to NTDEV and NTFSD and also available via RSS feed. The
feed lists the five most recently posted questions to each list, and is
updated (with the number of total messages on each topic) every 15
    minutes or so.

  2. Live Bookmarks
Yes, we’ve gone crazy over Firefox. And we’ve even added live bookmarks
to the ListServer page so that you can use them to follow NTDEV and
    NTFSD.

*********
All the above methods are IN ADDITION TO (not in place of) the existing
NNTP and email access to the lists. So, replying to a post via the web
interface, for example, results in that posting being sent via email to
members that have chosen email as their list option, the reply is
visible via NNTP, etc.

We hope you enjoy the new features! Please send us your feedback at
