Need suggestion: Athlon mb with 4 CPU sockets and a lot of PCI-Express slots.

Hi,

Could you please recommend some Athlon 64 MBs which I
could put at least 4 dual-core on it? I saw some from
TYAN but they don’t have PCI Express slots.

Thanks,
Calvin

Calvin,

Tyan has announced a new MB that has multiple PCI-E slots and supports
up to 8 dual core Opterons. They claim to be sampling.

Thanks Don.

That sounds good. I need a lot of CPUs to study how
well the “Receive Side Scaling” (LH feature) scales on
MP systems.

Anyone have experience with these mobos?

Thanks,
Calvin
