Hi All,
I have a problem with the IFS Kit that I would not have expected. I tried
to order both the W2k and the XP IFS kits from Microsoft using the
procedure described on their website. I placed these orders about a month
ago. Now I am being told by Microsoft that the W2K kit has been
discontinued and will not be shipped in the future. They are also saying
that the XP IFS kit is out of stock and won’t ship until the end of next
month.
I have an old W2k Beta IFS kit, but I am kind of concerned about releasing
my driver based on an old beta kit. I can’t force all of my customers to
upgrade to XP, and according to Microsoft you cannot develop for W2k on the
XP kit.
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to obtain a release W2K kit. Does
anyone have one they want to sell? My company has an IFS licence, so I
don’t think there should be any legal issues.

A Win2K IFS Kit is on the way to you, and we’re looking into the problem
with our distributor. The Win2K IFS Kit is and should remain available.
I’ll get it sorted out, sorry for the problem.
