You may be aware that the MUX sample driver doesn’t work on NDISWAN. We
received lot of questions in the last few months on how to get it to
work. Our networking development team is looking into supporting this
on current/future releases of OS. But before they put lot of resource
into doing this, they want to know examples of real-world needs
requiring MUX to work on NDISWAN? Why can’t people use Filter IM
(PASSTHRU) model or native solutions such as VPN?
We would appreciate if you could give us a couple of scenarios and
explain why you prefer MUX over filter IM (a.k.a. PASSTHRU) and justify
the need for MUX to work on NDISWAN. Please give us some real
commercially useful examples.
