msdt for troubleshooting specific device?

Hi,

is it possible to use msdt (Microsoft Diagnostic Tools) for troubleshooting a “specific” device e.g. a single Network Adapter, particular USB Device, etc. on a Windows Vista or Seven System?

want to use and what parameters it takes (and whether those parameters
are documented).
