Mouclass or Pointer Port who should start earlier?

Win2000: Mouclass driver starts AFTER legacy devices in Pointer Port group.
Legacy non-PnP devices write information about themselves in Register (e.g.
HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\PointerPort0). This information is read by Mouclass
driver in its DriverEntry – so static Pointer Ports for Legacy devices can
be connected to Mouclass. PnP ports are connected later in AddDevice.
Everybody happy.

Win XP: Mouclass driver starts BEFORE any devices in Pointer Port group (
on request of PnP?). So legacy device in Pointer Port group has no chance
to register itself with Mouclass driver.

Q: What can be done to force load legacy non-PnP pointer port driver BEFORE
mouclass driver, or force mouclass load after pointer port in Windows XP?
Thanks for any hints and comments!
