MODEM INSTALLATION THROUGH THE SETUPDI API?

I need to write a modem installation application on Windows 2000. How do I
do this with the MODEM INF file & the SetupDi API’s of the DDK.
If anyone has samples, source code or reference material please pass it on.

Is your modem a PnP modem? If so, why do you need to write a program to
install the modem?
