LogConfig question

Hello,

Is it only the user-space/kernel-space PnP manager
that processes info in LogConfig and then passes to
the driver via StartDevice? Or do I have to pass the
StartDevice IRP down to a bus driver (in this case the
Root Bus driver) before PCM_RESOURCES* is properly
filled in? (The reason I ask is that PCM_RESOURCES
doesn’t seem to be properly built which causes a blue
screen which I am still investigating).

Regards, Vasili

The bus driver will process the LogConfig information at some point, no
later than when it gets the QUERY_RESOURCE_REQUIREMENTS request.

The way you phrased your question leads me to believe that you might not
have taken to heart all the details in the DDK about handling
IRP_MJ_PNP.
