List Server Update

We’ve just completed a major upgrade of the Lyris list server that serves
NTFSD and NTDEV.

The web interface is in the process of being upgraded, and will be up and
down periodically. However,
the list server should be available as usual via the email and news reader
interfaces.

Please let us know if you experience any unusual problems.

Thanks,

Peter

When I realized that the news reader interface via Outlook Express was
radically
better then e-mail at displaying this list, I make the mistake of
unsubscribing,
instead of going to the list server and stopping the mail. Since you’ve
apparently just plugged a security hole, posts this weekend started
bouncing.

Others using the news reader may find that their posts bounce, and they
must go to
http://www.osr.com/listserver_main.htm and add themselves, selecting the “no
mail”
option.

what is the name of the newsgroup?
i too would like to try the news reader rather than email.
thanks…

Point your newsreader at lists.osr.com – The newsgroup is named,
shockingly, NTDEV.

And yes YOU HAVE TO BE A MEMBER to be able to post… from news, from the
web, of via email.

(HEY! Check out the new web interface: Go to http://www.osr.com, select
List Server from the menu on the left… let us know how you like it. The
SEARCH functionality is especially improved.)

The web interface is much improved, except… There is no obvious way to
change the options on an existing account. I suppose one could
unsubscribe then resubscribe, but it would be nicer if it were possible to
change the options without that…
