Is there a substitute for regedt32.exe on XP?

I occasionally use regedt32.exe to change permissions on parts of the
registry. Today I wanted to do this on XP and discovered that it has
become a little wrapper which launches regedit.exe.

Can someone tell me what has become the common way of accomplishing this
now?

Thanks.

Have you tried copying a “good” copy of an NT regedt32.exe onto XP ?

Regedit.exe has grown up.
Right click on the key and choose Permissions…

Michael:

Doh!

Thanks. Did not realize regedit was “new and improved”.
