Hi all,
would it be possible to build one filter which would work on nt4 / win 2k.
Existing nt4 Filter is based on the cdaudio.sys from the nt4 ddk samples.
I assume all I need to do to upgrade this driver to win 2k is to alter the
device detection code that is performed when the Deviceentry point routine
is called. Plus a section to detect insertion and removal of the CD-ROM
device (power management).
Can I make the upgraded driver win nt4 compatible if I add a section to
detect which Os is in use and do the appropriate attach to device code.
After make my proposed changes, would the upgraded nt4 driver work on win XP
? and possible win 98 / win me ?
