Hi Everyone,
I am working on a filter driver which works on top of Lanman
server in Windows.
It is noticed that the driver does not actually work on Windows
2003 server environment, but works in Windows 2000 server environment.
Through debugging, I was able to find out that this was because,
in earlier versions, when a folder was shared, for example, it received an
IOCTL code ( 12 bit ) which is not of the standard existing format, and the
device type was also FILE_DEVICE_NETWORK, whereas in 2003 environment, it
receives a more standard version of the IOCTL code( 14 bit ), with the
device type being very different, FILE_DEVICE_NETWORK_FILESYSTEM.
Can anyone please tell me, from which NT Build number onwards,
these changes have been incorporated. ?
