When testing my driver in WHQL’s ACPI Device I/O System Stress test suite I
sporadically get an INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR - BugCheck. Hooking up a debugger
makes the problem go away. My driver routines are not present in the stack
trace from the memory.dmp file that is created as a result of the bugcheck.
Does anyone know what this bugcheck is related to? Has anyone seen one?
The driver I’m writing is a Win2000 Scsi Port driver for our integrated IDE
controller. On my single proc test system there is no problem. However, on
my 840 (dual PIII box) I get the bugcheck.
Basically, the ACPI device I/O stress tests run a whole bunch of system
stress tests while taking the system in and out of S1, S3 and S4.
