Hi,
I encounter such a problem and I (and my colegues) can not resolve it.
We have filter driver in checked version which we test on Win2000 (debug).
On my machine there is no problem - driver loads and runs.
But on the other one we see how image file is loaded by kernel and not
started (DriverEntry routine is not invoked!!).
Both machines have identical versions of Win2000 and SP2 installed.
Registration of driver is also the same. Even WinRegistry are equals.
But on the second computer we can not start the driver.
Is there anybody who knows the source of the problem? Or just have an idea
of the solution?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
days ago we here had a similar problem. And the reason was that
#1: the drive file name (e.g. 123456789.sys) was not in 8.3 format,
#2: we used a FAT32 filesystem and
#3: we loaded the driver at boot time.
Regards,
Johann
