inf problem?

Hi ALL,
I am facing problem with installation file, which it displays as follows:

"An error occured during the installation of the device.

The INF or the device information set or element does
not match the specified install class."

Can anyone help me…

Hi,vishwanath

check you section [version] (Class=“XXX”) in INF files, make sure “XXXX” is a stardard device class , like “ScsiAdapter”.

Hi vishwanath,

You can get your INF file verified by checkinf utility provided by DDK or
can use GenInf file utility to generate a INF file for your requirement.

PS:
CheckInf requires perl to be installed on the machine and it serves to verify the INF
(like a INF compiler). < tools\CheckInf.bat >
