I have a minor issue with the IFS Kit beta docs. I do realize that they are in beta I just don’t want this to fall through the cracks so to speak.
In the following section: Design Guide -> File Systems Security -> Security Considerations for File Systems -> Security Descriptiors -> Security Identifier, the docs suggest the use of the SecLookupWellKnownSid function as the preferred method to obtain a well known SID. Can I assume that this function will be documented in the final docs? How about the other functions like SecLookupAccountName, SecLookupAccountSid, SecMakeSPN, SecMakeSPNEx, etc…?
As far as I can remember I don’t think MS has ever told us to use undocumented functions before.
