I have a customer who has an INF file that they are concerned
about updating. The INF is for a set of devices that will not
change but they have a concern that some of the registry settings
will. Is there a way to force windows to use the INF off of the
install disk, and not just use the previous versions PNF that
resides in the inf directory?

Sure … just select Have Disk, or tell the wizard to search your disks and
give it the path.
