Hi All,
Thanks in advance.
I heard that 2K drivers are compatible for XP.I have a driver
which is working fine in 2k and I made few tests in XP and got some
queries .
TEST & results:
The 2K driver worked well in XP Professional(both FTP and PING) and
it crashed in XP HOME during an ftp (works fine for PING to same
IP/SERVER) and gave me a bug check code as below:
*** Fatal System Error: 0x40000080
(0x80947AF0,0x8098ECD8,0x8053BD84,0x00000001)
and also i got a message from Ndis as : “Indicating packet not owned
by it”.
QUERIES:
1.Can anyone clarify what exactlly the Bug code(0x40000080) means ?
- what does the message indicates me & where exactly the problem could
be & how to solve that
3.Is there any architectural or NDIS differences between in XP home
and XP Professional ?
4.I found few thinks like XP Home can be upgraded only in 98/Me and Not
on 2k and NT. Is that XP Home follows the architecture of 98 and XP
Professional follows NT’s Architecture ?
5.Is there any difference between an FTP packet and Ping Packet (like
type of packet as broadcast etc…) ?
