I know this must be a tired question, but…
I have symbol files that I am using with the new windbg. but windbg is
reporting that the pdb files do not contain all the info it needs for
proper debugging. where can i get the latest symbol files that will work
with Windows 2000 Free Build (without SP1)?

I loaded mine from the install CD. I believe they are under the \support
directory.

It must be in the i386 folder on the Windows 2000 CD

Symbol files are no longer disrtributed in
\SUPPORT\SYMBOLS directory of the Windows 2000 CD.
You must download them from Microsoft’s web.
They are included in pack called
Windows 2000 Customer Support Diagnostics
