FltMgr-based filters

Since this is a relatively new architecture I found little documentation in
a few Ms papers and none of it in the IFS kit for WIN 2K3.

I am not sure the MS papers will talk about the restrictions that this
architecture will have, so I needed some practical experiences using this
model.
i.e. How flexible are minidrivers(most subsystems have tons of restrictions
on miniports) written under Filt-Mgr?
and is it that for most practical purposes legacy filters are the way to
go??

Rakesh,

To the best of my knowledge everything that you can do with a legacy
filter can also be done with a minifilter. In other words there are no
known restrictions.

If you are planning on developing a new file system filter I highly
suggest you do it as a minifilter because at some point in the future
legacy filters will no longer be supported.
