Hi,
As I understand the Filter manager will be supported on Win2k SP4, what about scenarios where I want my filter to be installed on any workstation? what about Anti-Virus apps? does implementing an Anti-Virus as a mini-filter will require all of the Win2K OS to have SP4 installed?
Any comment sample or pointer would be appreciated.
ThankX in advance,
Nadav.

Actually, it’s not SP4, but it’s the Update Rollup Pack (URP) for Win2K,
which requires SP4 first. So, yes, the filter manager will require both SP4
and the URP (which is due for imminent release).
HOWEVER, Neal et al promised us a redistributable for the filter manager for
Win2K. Any update on that?
Ken

The W2K filter manager redistributable will be available within 2 months after the public release of the URP. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of the filter manager redistributable you should contact your Microsoft support person now and get signed up.
To be clear to the person who originally asked this question. Yes, if you write a minifilter it will be required for the people who install it on W2K to be running SP4 as the redistributable only works on SP4.
