Hi!
Is there a way to distinguish between Read IOs invoked by Windows Explorer
for file preview (for example image preview, icons, document preview and
metadata) and file copy or read operations invoked by all other applications
(such as MS Office, Notepad etc.).
I noticed that Windows Explorer doesn’t change access time in case of file
preview. What API is used to prevent update of the access time?
Thanks,
Dani
ZwSetInformationFile() allow you prevent updating the access time.
Gonzalo.
