fastfat code in ntifs kit

if i compile the fastfat code in the nt ifs kit, am i suppose to get the
equivalent of what i will get if i install nt from the installation cd?

Yes. The code works. I used it for some testing about 2 years ago.

but there seems to be a slight difference in behaviour.

with my filter driver and the original fastfat driver running, and a slight
faulty floppy is accessed, windows explorer will hang and not able to end
task, although a new windows explorer can still be opened. but the system
cannot shutdown.

with my filter driver and the fastfat driver from the nt ifs kit, windows
explorer will still hang but it can be end tasked, thus system can be
rebooted.
