Eject or Unplug Hardware:
Using the Eject or Unplug utility I am trying to unplug my USB Modem in
Win2000 environment, but this process is failing in my case.
Procedure that i am following and what I get by doing so:
- Invoking the Eject or Unplug utility from the task bar.
- Able to see the USB Modem in the list of devices to stopped.
- selecting USB Modem and then Clicking the stop button.
- Appearing of confirmation screen.
- Clicking OK to continue.
- A message saying “The Modem device can now be safely removed from the
system” POPed in.
After this I see my USB Modem get disabled for a second or so and then
immediately it get initialised and come alive without any enable process
but I dont see similar behavior when doing the disable through device
manager utility. Could anyone give me a clear idea on this?
Thanks and Regards,
Ganesan. M
