Eject or Unplug Hardware:

Eject or Unplug Hardware:

Using the Eject or Unplug utility I am trying to unplug my USB Modem in
Win2000 environment, but this process is failing in my case.

Procedure that i am following and what I get by doing so:

  1. Invoking the Eject or Unplug utility from the task bar.
  2. Able to see the USB Modem in the list of devices to stopped.
  3. selecting USB Modem and then Clicking the stop button.
  4. Appearing of confirmation screen.
  5. Clicking OK to continue.
  6. A message saying “The Modem device can now be safely removed from the
    system” POPed in.

After this I see my USB Modem get disabled for a second or so and then
immediately it get initialised and come alive without any enable process
but I dont see similar behavior when doing the disable through device
manager utility. Could anyone give me a clear idea on this?

Thanks and Regards,
Ganesan. M
