Enabling/disabling IMAPI (Windows XP CD Burning) on an optical drive will
create a second (duplicate) drive letter that is visable in Explorer (yes,
pressing F5 and refreshing the Explorer view will remove this duplicate
drive letter). I’ve reproduced this on a base Windows XP installation
and does appear to be a bug in the IMAPI code.
My problem is that after installing my UDF file system, this issue gets
worse (occurs more often). Does anyone have any ideas on what IMAPI is
doing to create a duplicate drive letter and what I can do to stop it from
appearing?
Thanks for any ideas.
