DTM: USB-specific tests for unclassified USB device

In DTM, for my unclassified USB device, I need help getting USB-specific tests to show up in DTM’s “Jobs Available” list. I’ve got DTM’s Driver Reliability tests running, but no USB-specific tests.

For USB devices that ARE in a class, like hubs, DTM shows the tests I’d LIKE to run on my UNCLASSIFIED device:

  • USB Address Description Test
  • USB Description Test
  • USB Device Control Requests
  • USB Enumeration Stress
  • USB Selective Suspend
  • USB Device-Framework(CV)
  • USB Serial Number

Can anyone help me out? Can it be done? Maybe my device needs to spoof a class?

Thanks,
Ryan

You might have better luck asking in the microsoft.public.development. device.drivers.dtm bulletin board.

You don’t need to run the bus tests for DTM unclassified for USB devices.

If you still want to anyway, do the “USB hub” test or something like that.

I guess DTM runs tests specific to the Windows driver only.

The desired tests can be performed using tools like USBCV. Checking out the following link may be helpful:
