DTM submission failed

Dear Team:

I submit my win7_32bit.cpk to microsoft in Winqual for the purpose to get the .cat file.
and it failed in “In Review” Step.

I din’t really know why the problem happened. and I found that it notice me to pack the Win7_64bit.cpk together with Win7_32bit.cpk into the .cab file. and It passed(Signed successfully).

It is puzzling me :
why I should pack the Win7_64bit.cpk to cab file ,I just want the 32bit.cat file .assume that there is a device and just only support Win7 32bit.How does it get the Windows Logo?

what is the windows family meaning ? win7 32bit and Win7 64bit is the one ?

Thanks for any advance!!!

If you read the terms at WinQual they mandate that all driver
packages include 64-bit. If you don’t do so, then the submission
fails - as yours did. This requirement has been around for a long time now.

If you can really, really, really prove to the folks at WinQual that
the device does not can not support running in a 64-bit o/s then you
may be able to enter a dialog with them and gain an exception.

However, since you obviously managed to run the DTM tests on this
driver in a 64-bit o/s they will tell you to put up with requirements
as laid down in the documentation.

It’s the requirement (for Vista and higher) to provide both 32 and 64
bit drivers to get certification.

To be perfectly precise actual requirement is to provide 64 bit driver
while 32 bit is optional.
