If people did not notice this announcement in the WHQL newsletter:
DTM support remains Free via xxxxx@microsoft.com until Jan 31, 2007
We are pleased to announce that free support for logo testing using DTM
will be available via the xxxxx@microsoft.com
mailto:xxxxx alias until January 31, 2007. After that
time support will move to the standard Customer Support Services models.
More information about the support options that are available can be found
at http://www.microsoft.com/services/microsoftservices/srv_support.mspx
http:.
I figured I would pass it on since I know almost no one who has gotten DTM
to work. Personally, I think there needs to be:
1. A longer free support period, with the support alias responding to
emails (something that is not happening at present).
2. The promised public newgroup to aid in support.
3. A BOF on DTM and testing at the next WinHEC so peoples problems
and frustrations can be heard.
Charging for support for something that is not beta quality yet is just an
insult to the community.
