Do Windows portable devices work under win 2k

Hi all,

Do windows portable devices work under windows 2k ?
In this case a Philips go gear 6gb (hdd1620/05)

Windows 2k is detecting the device as it is plugged in to the usb connector,
(Philips hdd14xx gear)but is unable to find a suitable device driver.

Do drivers exist for win 2k or can the supplied XP driver be force to loaded
/ installed under win 2k with a modified .inf file ?

Currently WPD is only supported on Windows Vista. AFAIK it’s never
going to go back to Win2k.
