Don,
I copied a Win2003 CD to a folder.
then I extracted the image.bin from the
cd using “Bart’s Boot Image Extractor”
( freeware tool).
I couldn’t find boot.bin referenced in
your document on the website.
Then I created a DATA CD using Nero,
and I specified the image.bin
along with the folder containing windows 2003,
and I made the volume name to match the original.
I also changed the txtinfo.sif file as recommended.
The CD doesn’t boor, It does display the “Booting from CD”
message from BIOS (?).
- What CD writer did your use ?
- Can you email ( or post) a copy of the boot.bin
so I can try that ?

JD,
I’ve used Bart’s tool before so this should not be it. Did you make
the CD have the same label as the CD you started from? This will cause the
problem of it not booting correctly (been there done that enough myself). I
have used Nero and Easy CD Creator to do this.
