Debugging Windows ME

Hello everyone,
I am writing a display driver for Windows 98/ME. I am
using Windows System Debugger debugger.exe (comes with Windows 2000/ME DDK)
and RTERM for remote debugging. I want to do source level debugging. My
debugger machine is running on Windows 2000 and my debuggee is on Windows
ME. Currently the situation is that I have installed debugger.exe on the
debuggee machine and running RTERM on the debugger machine. RTERM only
breaks the debuggee machine but we are unable to do source level debugging
with it. No traces are appearing on the RTERM terminal. I have set all the
symbols, source and Images path. If any one knows about it or could suggest
a better debugger, please tell me.
Also I don’t have Windows ME symbols. Can any one please tell me where could
I get it.
Waiting for a quick response.

Regards,
Muhammad Asif Fayyaz

This is a WinDbg list, and you can’t use WinDbg for this, so I doubt
you’ll get many answers here.

My only advice, having worked on 9x drivers before, is to look into
SoftICE. RTERM sucks.
