Hi all,
I use two TI chipset based 1394 cards for kernel debugging; they work
well with
XP SP2 or XP x64 target systems; I can connect to the target, break in
and debug;
however, I couldn’t successfully break in into Vista 5744 x86, neither x64;
the Vista system boots successfully, but the system doesn’t disable the
1394 controller
(it doesn’t goes yellow in device manager) and I can’t connect to it
from the host machine;
I can successfully debug the very same Vista machine over a serial
connection;
I used BCDEDIT to do the following:
- BCDEDIT /dbgsettings 1394 channel:30
- BCDEDIT /set debug ON
any hint?
thank you very much,

I have solved it by reinstalling Vista; nothing else helped.
