Running HCT v9.5 on Windows 2000 sp4, when my driver is installed, will
soft-hang before reboot (Explorer is closed, only the mouse cursor
remains).
I’m new to WinDbg. Any tips on debugging a soft-hang during shutdown? I
don’t see any resources in my driver causing the hang. What could cause
Windows to not shutdown?
Thanks.
In debugging shutdown hangs, I usually start by looking at the Winlogon
process. Look for a thread that is trying to shutdown and getting stuck…
