.DBG symbols

Hi,

Does anybody know how to produce .DBG symbols file in Windows XP DDK (IFS)?
REBASE does not produce any output file.

Thanks in advance,
Leonid.

Whats wrong with using the .pdb symbol file?

Check out Microsoft Knowledge base article “Q128372 - HOWTO: Remove
Symbols from Device Drivers”. It explains how to generate/strip-off DBG
symbols from driver.

Thanks,

but it does not help.

I usually use rebase -b 0x00010000 -x . driver.sys

It works well for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000.

But it does not produce .DBG in the case of XP DDK
(neither checked nor free build).

Leonid.

My thought is that there is no symbol info to split out in that case.
Everything is already in the PDB.
