confused.network write

this topic was dicussed a long time ago. but i still have something that
makes
me confused.
I setup a dir in the server, the files in it are all encrypted.
Normally, there is only ONE write i can see if opened with “write only”
flag.
so i add the read flag to it. then I run notepad.exe, and type some words,
i can succeed saving the content to the server, and it is encrypted. But when
i
run the notepad.exe in the encrypted folder of the server, the content saved
to
the server is not encrypted. I can only get normal write irp, neither
NOCACHE,
nor PAGING_IO. What is the difference between runing notepad.exe locally and
remotely?

No one knows what tomorrow would be,
but I’ll do my best.

I even trace into Rdbss, I find that the
mrx_fcb->fcb_state is always 0xCF****** , not as the article in osronline
description like. why

No one knows what tomorrow would be,

What version of Windows are you running on? It is quite possible that
the behavior has changed or you are seeing some special case we didn’t
observe before.

Is your encryption done on the client? On the server? On both?
