configuring multiple VLANs in NDIS miniport driver

Hi,
I would like to support multiple VLAN configuration on my NIC(with my own NDIS miniport driver); going by DDK, it appears that, it is possible to support only one VLAN id per port. So, if I have to develop support for configuring multiple VLANs , should I develop an intermediate driver ?

Thanks,
-P

You can provide a NDIS MUX IM driver to do this. The DDK/WDK “MUX” sample illustrates this.

However, I have seen NIC Miniports that do the same thing (expose the “real” miniport plus one or more VELAN miniports) without the assist of a IM driver. In most respects the upper edge of a NIC miniport and the upper edge of a IM filter are “the same”.

Good luck,
