Collapsing an open?

I’m working with the RDR2 redirector framework that comes with the latest
MS IFS kit. There are several functions that refer to “collapsing an
open”. Does anyone know what they mean by this?

See the comments/notes written in the “rdr2\inc\FCB.H” file in the IFS kit.
It contians the description about all the important data structures. SEE the
notes on SRV_OPEN.

I assume you meant “filesys/inc/fcb.h”. The source for rdr2 does not come
with the IFS kit. The file “filesys/inc/fcb.h” does not mention
“collapsing an open”, so I still don’t understand what it mean. A short
description would be helpful, if someone has a few moments.

Thanks …
