Hi,
there was either a thread or an ntinsider article about reasons to do versioning on co-installer name, whenever they change. I searched the ntdev and could not find it. Can someone point out a link to it?

The problem is that the old coinstaller runs the initial driver update
installation, or at least it used to, and not anticipating that can
result in some rather nasty malfunctions. Changing the name at least
avoids the problem. I dimly recall that this may not be a problem any
more, for some level of windows release.
