I want to claim a SCSI device from disk.sys, i mean the problem is: when i
plug the device into the system, disk.sys claims it and displays a drive
letter corresponding to it. I don’t want that drive letter
I know that one can claim a device from a class driver using
SCSIClassClaimDevice.
My question is: Is it possible to fail the claim originated from Disk.sys
from a filter driver. I have written a lower filter driver to Disk.sys. I am
able to filter/see the claim request in my filter driver. What to do next?
Pls help.
Thanks,
Swati.
I believe you can fail the claim. It works fine with Windows 2000. But in W2K3, you might get device removal if you fail the claim.
