I am trying to setup a partial checked build for Windows XP SP2 according to
OSR’s steps - http://www.osronline.com/article.cfm?id=405 . I have tried
it several times but every time my machine reboots without starting Windows.
Has anybody tried this with any success?
It’s a good idea to have a kd connected to the check build box. Check
build may assert that would crash if no kd is connected.

What is the error that you receive while trying too boot? Does it tell
you invalid kernel image or something like that?
In the article you cited, there is one step I had to do which was not
included. You need to make sure those files have
been unpacked. You need to use the EXPAND utility in dos on them.
