Can one obtain driver name in user mode from a symbolic link name?

Hi:

In user-mode, given the name of a symbolic link to a device, is it
possible to determine the name of the driver that implements that
device without using a custom kernel-mode driver?

Thanks

Why does the driver name matter? Are you trying to perform some kind of authorization/security around the name?
